Dear Me,
So I can happily say I finally found a new author. I have to work harder on reading fiction, to pick up how to write better or at the very least just enjoy how they do their writing.
I've started reading the John Shakespeare series by Rory Clements. So far it's been pretty good. I love the imagery. It's totally the kind of book I love to read. Now the only thing is to learn how to write like that.
It`s a mystery book, which is fine, except I`m writing a romance novel, so for anyone who might be reading this, if you know of any historical novels that takes place in Shakespearean England, has a female main character and romance in it, I`d love to hear from you.
Seriously.
I need help with this.
I also want to write to the author of this series because really, the book is that good. I just want to know how he did his research, how he figured out the language of his dialogue, all that stuff.
I just love it when an author actually captures a time period and makes you feel like you`re right there with the character. I want to write a story that takes place in this time era, but as I`ve mentioned before, I still want to finish the story I`ve started previously. Just finish it and be done with the damn thing! I might just post the progress of the Shakespearean story here. Outline, character sketches, everything. Just do projects at once. I really must hate myself to make my life that complicated. But since I don`t see anything happening as far as moving out anytime soon, I`m pretty sure I`ll have the time to do it. It`ll probably suck but that`s OK. I`m fairly certain no one will read it, so it`ll be safe.
Anyway, on with life yeah?
Cheers
Murielle
