Dear Me,
Oh Jesus! Sooo much to write about. Well, mostly to catch up on! OK...breeeathe. So, I have started reading. A lot. Mostly Rory Clements and his John Shakespeare series. Super awesome!
It describes the Elizabethan era really well and the stories are pretty intense.
There is so much to love about it! I am so blown away by this series I can't even get my thoughts straight! So I thought I'll put it in point form my favourite things about the series.
- As mentioned above, describes the era of late Elizabethan period and what it was like to live in London during the late 1580s and early 1590s. It describes what it would be like to live during different seasons and the feel of the city. Great stuff.
- The characters. The characters are off the map. Especially this one character named Topcliffe. He's nuts and dangerous. He hates Catholics, Not just a "Wow, I really hate those guys." It's like a rabid, murderous, insane kind of hate. He's sooo creepy and the impact he makes is just like a slap in the face.
I'll write up some more later.
Cheers
Murielle
