So this entry is all about what I've been doing for the past few days.
1. As I may or may not have mentioned, my S.O has been laid off. So now we are sending resume's all over Hell's half acres as far as the internet goes. Still no reply to any of them. Going to write a cover letter to see if it might make his resume stand out. I can only hope we hear from some one...eventually. I don't want to move back in with parents as, despite its worries, I like living partially on my own. Ugh...anyway, on to the next point.
2. I went out with my friend who is helping me with my story last Friday. This was exciting because it felt like it had before she got sick. The time between meetings is a little longer than usual, but who cares! I might actually finish this story before I turn forty!
3. I've been thinking about starting a new blog. I did start a blog on this site called The French Duchess or something, but I can't remember the e-mail or pass word, so I'm going to start all over again. It will cover what I'm researching about the seventeenth century. The research initially started with reading about the Restoration era, which was marked by the return of the monarchy in England. But then I asked the author/seventeenth century scholar Susanna Calkins how to properly research the Restoration period and she advised me to research the English Civil War to put the Restoration in context and how it came about. You know, good stuff. I don't know when this will happen, but I want to do it eventually. I mean as soon as I can get time to research properly.
So that's what I've been up to.
Cheers
